Following the announcement by Disney CEO Bob Chapek that Park Capacity in the Walt Disney World Resort will continue to expand as the year goes on, and that ‘an immediate increase in the number of folks that we are able to admit into our parks through our reservation system,’ would be seen, the Theme Park Reservation Calendar just lit up green.
Last night (UK Time) the Calendar was mostly yellow for the remainder of May, but as per when we checked at 11.00 am GMT Saturday, even the grey no availability days were now registering as green for ‘all parks available.’ As of this moment only one yellow box was visible. What this will mean for wait times as the parks inch towards, and perhaps over 50% capacity, isn’t going to surprise anyone but at least now there is more flexibility for people trying to have a day out in Disney.
More information an be found on the Disney World Website and a full report on all the latest news at WDW News Today. Hopefully fireworks and fastpasses won’t be too long in retuning now either.
